abstract
Studying the potential use of computer assisted techniques in microsurgical reconstruction of the mandible, we came to a new concept of mandibular reconstruction and dental rehabilitation in a single surgery using custom made surgical guides. We present the whole process of our technique through cli...
nical cases.
reason, objective, purpose
The ultimate goal of mandibular reconstruction with a fibula flap is to obtain the best result both morphologically and functionally. These two goals are difficult to combine at present and dental rehabilitation is often postponed or even abandoned.
materials used
